A Classic collection of Christmas cheeses (975g of cheeses) with accompaniments of crackers, relish and oatcakes.

Portions: This will easily be enough cheese for 9-10 adults after Christmas dinner or as part of a buffet (with some left over for the next day!)

The five Christmas cheese selection:

  • Montgomery Cheddar : From Cadbury in Somerset, this Cheddar has been made on the same farm since 1911.  A deep yellow with a dry and flaky texture. The flavour is strong and brothy.  Occasional blue veining is normal and adds to the character.  Unpasteurised cow’s milk/animal rennet.
  • Colston Bassett Stilton : The most celebrated British blue cheese.  Made in Nottingham in the Colston Bassett Dairy, where it has been made for over 100 years.  This veritable cheese will define the Christmas cheese board. It pairs beautifully with fruit cake, pears and walnuts.  The smooth, creamy texture is mellow with blue veining throughout. Pasteurised cow’s milk/vegetarian rennet.
  • Waterloo : A brie-like cheese made in Riseley, Berkshire.  Using the rich milk of Guernsey cow’s grazing the biodynamic pastures of Heckfield Place, this cheese is silky soft, rich and buttery. Unpasteurised cow’s milk/vegetarian rennet.
  • Tor (Goat cheese) : This truncated pyramid goat cheese is rolled in ash and has a dense texture with fresh and lemony flavour.
  • Sparkenhoe Red Leicester : This farmhouse cheese is cloth bound to mature.  Made in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, by husband and wife team.  Full flavoured, nutty and mellow.  The cheese brings a striking flash of red and seasonal cheer to the Christmas cheeseboard.  Delicious with a chutney or a tart apple.

  • Accompaniments : Balsamic onion relish (100g);  Sheridan’s brown bread crackers (140g)  Stockton’s Orkney Oatcakes (100g)

Crackers : Wholemeal wheat flour; buttermilk; butter; sea salt.

Oatcakes : Wholegrain oats; vegetable oil; wheat flour; salt; raising agents (potassium bicarbonate; disodium diphosphate.
